The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and SRD there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services position established for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable status sassa the servicing of all clients and improve usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
